Four model ranges are documented: the motorboats Volksyacht Fisherman, L and XL with years of construction from 1998 as well as the motor yacht Jolly Dutchman from 2000 to 2018. Over some two decades of construction a good deal accumulates on board, from chart plotter and radio to the fixed equipment that belongs in the schedule for the agreed value.
So that these items count in the event of a claim, they belong in the schedule on which the agreed value is based. Full hull cover indemnifies from it with no deduction for depreciation (new for old) and covers theft of parts including the outboard. Whatever is not recorded is difficult to prove later.
Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis, supplemented by limited hull cover or full hull cover in the levels Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. The boat trailer is included at no extra premium, and cover accompanies the boat into winter storage as well.

Is permanently installed electronics part of the insurance cover?
Yes, provided it is recorded in the schedule on which the agreed value is based. It is then indemnified in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
How do you cover an outboard that has been removed?
Theft of parts including the outboard is part of full hull cover. The engine should appear in the schedule so that its value is contained in the agreed value.

For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
