A cored glassfibre hull with pod drives brings its own checklist. Cored laminates should be sounded for moisture or delamination around through-hulls and deck hardware, because water that gets into the core travels. IPS pods need their service intervals kept, with attention to the anodes, the propellers and the seals where the drives pass through the hull. Varnished cherry and oiled teak only look right with regular care, so the state of the woodwork says a lot about how a boat has been kept. On a one-off like this, ask for the build documentation and the designer's specifications, since a custom build cannot be checked against a fleet of identical boats.
