Fun Yak is a French builder of polyethylene boats. The hulls are rotomoulded: plastic is melted inside a rotating mould and forms a seamless hollow shell. The brand belongs to the Sebico group, a French industrial company with expertise in rotomoulding, and has been making boats for around three decades. Production is in Boé in the Lot-et-Garonne department. On 1 January 2018 Sebico also took over Rigiflex, another maker of rotomoulded boats. The range runs from dinghies and tenders to utility boats for leisure and professional use, and the boats are easy to spot by their smooth, solid-coloured plastic hulls without gelcoat.
Our model records list one design, the Fun Yak Secu 12, filed as a motorboat of 3.6 metres with build years from 2021 to 2025. The Secu line is aimed at security and professional work, and the maker points to safety crews and fishing guides who value the boats for their toughness and handling. A sales listing gives a beam of 1.55 metres, a dry weight of about 120 kg and room for up to five people, with an outboard on the transom, in that case a 25 hp Mercury.
