Gliseris Aluminium Boats; cover, cost and conditions

Gliseris is a Lithuanian yard, founded in 2019, that works only in aluminium. It builds monohulls and catamarans for professional crews as well as private owners. Hulls are made from 5083 alloy plate with 6082 profiles and are fully welded. Every boat carries the CE mark and is built to ISO standards, and a nano coating against corrosion is available on request. Layout and fit out can be tailored to the owner, and the yard develops dedicated versions for commercial operators and law enforcement. A Gliseris is easy to recognise by its welded metal hull and the short GS prefix in every model name.

Our model records hold five designs, all motorboats and all listed from 2019. None has been discontinued, so all five reach into the most recent build years. The backbone is the GS 63 in three versions: open and Hard Top at 6.38 metres, and the Cabin at 6.91 metres. According to the yard, the GS 63 weighs 810 kilograms without engine, takes 90 to 200 hp, carries seven people and uses 5 mm plate on the bottom and 4 mm on the sides, approved for CE category C. Above it sit the GS 70 Cabin at 8.01 metres and the GS 99 at 9.92 metres, the largest boat of the brand in our list.

Aluminium shrugs off a knock on a rocky shore and can be repaired by welding, but it reacts badly to stray current and mixed metals. When looking at a used Gliseris, check the anodes, look for pitting around stainless fittings and on the transom, and ask whether the shore power connection has a galvanic isolator. Welded seams along the keel line deserve a careful look, especially on boats that have done commercial work. Hard Top and Cabin versions keep the crew out of wind and spray, while the open boat suits fishing and day trips. Since every model is still in production, many used boats are only a few seasons old and come with their original paperwork.
