MAR.CO Marine Costruzioni is an Italian family business from Muggiò in the province of Monza and Brianza, inland near Milan rather than on the coast. It has been building inflatables since 1974 and is run today by Mauro and Marco, the sons of Mario Zamuner. The yard specialises in rigid inflatables up to large maxi RIBs. Two lines define the current range: the e-motion models are meant for short cruises with a night on board, while the R-Evolution boats are laid out for day trips with plenty of open-air space. The R-Evolution 35 is the yard's flagship, with a generous deck, a dinette and a bow sunpad. Most model names carry the Mar-Co prefix, often followed by a number spelled out in English.

Our model records list 22 designs, every one of them a rigid inflatable. The oldest entry is the Altura 47 from 1989. The Altura range includes six designs, five of them Hiqua versions built from 2012 to 2017. Thirteen designs reach into the most recent build years: the e-motion29, e-motion32 and e-motion36, the R-Evolution 35 and X36, and eight boats of the numbered family from the Seventeen through the Eighteen, Twenty, Twentytwo and Twentythree to the Twentysix, the last two also as Fisherman versions. The Seventeen has been listed since 2004. The Work 23, Work 25 and the small Ten complete the list. Lengths run from 3.05 metres for the Ten to 10.73 metres for the R-Evolution X36, and three designs exceed ten metres.

On any used RIB the tubes come first. Look at the seams, the glued joints to the hull and the valves, and pump the tubes up a day ahead to see whether they hold pressure. UV and folds wear the fabric, so a boat kept in shade and away from sharp edges usually ages more slowly. The rigid hull, especially the keel line and the transom, should be checked for cracks and repairs, since a RIB is often run hard and beached. On the larger e-motion and R-Evolution boats the outboards, their hours and service records weigh as much as the boat itself, and the console electronics, wiring and steering should be tested on the water before buying.
