Montisola; cover, cost and conditions
The name points to Monte Isola, the inhabited island in Lake Iseo in Lombardy. The island is home to the Archetti yard, which hand builds classic mahogany boats, and one rental listing offers the Easy 600 as a Montisola Archetti. Whether every model under this brand came from the same workshop, the sources do not say. The model names are Italian boat types: Lancia for a launch, Gozzo for the traditional fishing boat, Dinghi for a small dinghy and Vela, simply, for sail.
Our records list 14 models under Montisola: seven motorboats, five sailing boats and two motor yachts. The oldest is the 3.65 metre Dinghi, recorded from 1977; most other lines begin in 1991, including the Gozzo 743, Lancia 4 and 4,6, Lancione 5, Plan 450, Aloa II, Vela, Dingotto and both Tamer models. Three models carry the brand in their name and arrived in 2003: Easy 600 (6.1 m), Isla 750 cabin (8.1 m) and Aloa 900 (9.2 m). The Easy 600 is the latest entry, with build year 2017. Eight models measure six metres or less.
Lake boats like these often live under a boathouse roof or on a trolley, and fresh water is kind to hulls and engines alike. Varnished wood needs fresh coats every few seasons, and a breathable tarpaulin stops condensation. The two cabin yachts suit longer days and nights aboard, while the Dinghi and Vela are made for an afternoon sail close to shore.

often differ widely.
An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.

That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it,
and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
For the Montisola Easy 600, Gozzo 743, Lancia 4 by Montisola and further series:
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part.
Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
For the Montisola Aloa 900, Montisola Isla 750 cabin by Montisola series:
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value.
Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
For the Vela, Dinghi, Dingotto by Montisola and further series:
On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides.
A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
