Worth knowing
Navar Inc.; cover, cost and conditions
In our records, Navar Inc. stands for a family of motorboats and small motor yachts that all carry the Navar name. The range runs from an open small boat through cabin boats for day trips with a night aboard to yachts of about ten metres, plus one large rigid inflatable. The model names do most of the explaining: three and four digit numbers give the length in centimetres quite closely, so the 465 Pasara measures 4.65 metres, the 795 Cabin 7.9 metres and the 1025 about 10.2 metres. Suffixes such as Cabin, Open, Tourist, Lux and pro mark variants on the same base boat.
Our model records list eleven Navar designs: five motorboats, five motor yachts and one rigid inflatable. The motorboats are the Navar 7, the 465 Pasara and the 795 in Cabin, Open and Tourist form. The motor yachts are the 710, the 711 and the 1025 with its 1025 Lux and 1025 pro offshoots, and the inflatable is the Navar 40. Build years start in 2003, and seven lines run into the most recent years. The 710 and 711 stop in 2012, the 1025 in 2020 and the 1025 Lux in 2021. Lengths run from 4.65 metres for the 465 Pasara to 12.2 metres for the Navar 40.
The Pasara is an easy trailer boat, and the 795 family can travel by road with a larger rig, launched at a ramp in the morning and pulled out in the evening, which keeps the hull clean and the outboard easy to reach. The 1025 models are berth boats for coastal weekends. On every size, a freshwater flush after salt water and a dry, ventilated cabin over the winter keep the boat in shape.
