Pelorus; cover, cost and conditions
One motor yacht is documented, the Pelorus 44 with years of construction from 2009 to 2015. For the premium the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range count. The name of the shipyard is of no significance here, and that applies in each of the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels.
Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy is taken out online. If the value is above that, an individual assessment follows. In both routes third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros comes first, supplemented by limited hull cover or full hull cover.
Full hull cover covers collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard and indemnifies at the agreed value with no deduction for depreciation. Cover also applies in winter storage, during craning, during launching and on the transport route.

Is a grounding a hull claim?
Grounding belongs to full hull cover, as do collision, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard. Limited hull cover, by contrast, covers fire, storm, lightning strike and theft of the whole boat.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration
Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.

Pelorus 44 is a motor yacht from Pelorus, built from 2009 to 2015.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
