Worth knowing
Sack; cover, cost and conditions
Over the winter, sailing yachts such as the Stör 30 or the Helgoland models lie ashore. Damage in winter storage is already included in limited hull cover, and cover applies equally during craning, launching and while in transit. You therefore need no separate contract for the time ashore.
Three model ranges are recorded under Sack, built between 1965 and 1977. No further information is available. Since production lies far in the past, the agreed value is the core of the contract: it sets the value, and full hull cover pays accordingly with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
As sailing yachts, these boats are classified by sail area, not by engine power, and value, year of construction and cruising range are added. Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Is damage in winter storage covered?
Yes, for Sack too: it belongs to limited hull cover, as do fire, storm,
lightning strike and theft of the entire boat.
Cover also exists during craning, launching and while in transit.
What applies to boats from the sixties and seventies?
For Sack: We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners.
The value is agreed as an agreed value,
and in the Premium tariff the age limit in full hull cover does not apply.
