Sarch is a young yard on the Spanish Mediterranean coast in the province of Alicante. The sources give 2016 as the year it was founded and name Denia and nearby Pego as its home. The aim was boats that can be transported, are light and quick and still offer somewhere to sleep, and the yard takes its own route in construction. On the S6 the hull is plywood sheathed in plenty of carbon fibre in epoxy, while the deck is a GRP sandwich. The boats stand out with a sharply drawn chine, a fine bow and an open cockpit with teak decking. Before the S6, Sarch launched the S7 small cruiser.

Being easy to dismast and handle single-handed, the dS6 is often trailed to new sailing areas, which makes the trolley or trailer part of any inspection. A teak deck needs regular cleaning and the occasional look at its seams.
