Scheepsbouwbedrijf Kuijper is a Dutch yard that built sailing yachts in steel. The most fully documented design is the Rekere 36, described by a Dutch broker as a steel yacht built by Kuijper in Holland in 1990 to a design by Dick Zaal. Hull, superstructure and deck are all steel, the hull is full bodied with a long keel, the rudder hangs on a skeg, and a displacement of around twelve tonnes with lead ballast marks a boat built and fitted out for distance cruising. The Breewijd 31 is also listed as a steel yacht from Kuijper. Both are recognisable by their welded steel hulls.
