Seastrike Boats is a small family business from Aldridge in the English West Midlands, established in 1988. It builds fully welded aluminium boats, often to order, for anglers, work use and leisure on rivers, lakes and the coast. Two hull forms appear in every name. Semi Vee is a planing hull with a shallow V, high freeboard and chines that throw spray aside; Semi Flat is a flatter bottom chosen for stability, for example when fishing standing up. The number gives the length in feet, from 10 to 20.

A welded aluminium boat shrugs off knocks at the slipway and on gravel banks, which is why so many end up on rivers and reservoirs. It still needs care: rinse it after salt water, keep an eye on anodes and on any spot where steel fittings touch the aluminium, and lock the outboard whenever the boat is left on its trailer.
