Tenten Boats stands for small motorboats, from tenders to compact fishing boats. We found no reliable record of where or when the yard started, so this page describes the boats from our model records. The range stays small on purpose: no model is longer than just over five metres, and the smallest are barely more than two. The lines are called Bora, Orca, Biscaya and Tenten Maat, and added words such as fisherman, hunter, touring or de luxe tell you what each boat is for. On the Bora models the number in the name is roughly the length in centimetres.
Our records list 11 models, all motorboats. Six belong to the Bora line: the 3.85 metre Bora 385 de luxe, the Bora 440, 440 HT and 440 touring at 4.4 metres, and the Bora 460 fisherman and 460 hunter at about 4.55 metres. Then come the 4.3 metre Orca 430, the 5.23 metre Biscaya 560 fisherman and three tiny Tenten boats, the 2.25 metre Maat 225 and the Maat 245 and 245 de Luxe at 2.45 metres. Six models appear from 1990, the Orca from 1994 and four from 2003. Nine lines end in 2019, while the Bora 440 and Orca 430 run to 2022.
These boats travel on a trailer or a car roof and are used on lakes, rivers and close to the shore, for fishing or as a tender. Light hulls dent and scratch easily on stony ramps, so a soft keel roller helps. Take the outboard off for the winter, flush it with fresh water and store the boat upside down under a roof.
