Tigé Boats is an American builder based in Abilene, Texas, and founded by Charlie Pigeon. It makes inboard towboats for waterskiing, wakeboarding and wakesurfing, boats whose stern wave is shaped for the rider behind. The yard developed TAPS, a trim system that lets the driver adjust that wave. An inboard engine and model names built from the length in feet plus codes such as i, ci or v make a Tigé easy to spot.

Our model records list nine Tigé designs, all motorboats between 6.1 and 7.1 metres. The Tige 20 comes as the 20 i and 20 ci at 6.1 metres. The Tige 21 has the most versions, five: the 21 i and 21 i Riders at 6.5 metres and the 21 v LTD, 21 v Rider and 21 v Fox Ed. at 6.4 metres. The longest is the 7.1 metre Tige 23 V LTD. Eight models date from 1997 to 2005, with the 21 v LTD alone starting in 1997. The newer Tige Z1, 6.6 metres long, is recorded from 2015 to 2020.

A Tigé usually lives on its trailer and goes to the lake for a day of riding. The inboard engine wants attention after every season: drain the cooling system before frost, check the propeller and shaft, and rinse the trailer after launching on salty or muddy ramps.
