Touring; cover, cost and conditions
Five motorboat ranges are recorded, the Touring 500 F and 500 ST, the Touring 550 DC and 550 OC as well as the Touring 650, built between 1977 and 1985. With boats from that period the question of value comes first. We answer it in advance with an agreed value.
This agreed value applies in the event of a claim, compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old) and, in the Premium tariff, without any age limit. The year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners do not decide on acceptance. Small production runs and home-built boats are insurable as well. A boat trailer is covered by the third-party liability at no extra premium from Basis-Plus, provided it is named in the application with its value. You can add it to the hull cover for a premium.
Full hull cover includes collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard, and limited hull cover includes fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage. Third-party liability remains the basis with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros.

What does compensation with no deduction for depreciation mean?
For Touring: In the case of a covered loss there is no reduction on account of age.
The basis is the agreed value that has been set,
and in the Premium tariff full hull cover additionally applies without any age limit.
Can a boat from 1977 be insured online?
For Touring: Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy is taken out online,
above that we review the individual case.
The year of construction does not stand in the way of acceptance.
