Worth knowing
Troost; cover, cost and conditions
We are not aware of any model ranges from Troost, but a VB 480 is insured with us. Acceptance does not depend on how much is documented about a brand, but solely on the boat itself and on the details of type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range.
Theft of the entire boat is part of limited hull cover, together with fire, storm, lightning strike and damage in winter storage. If only a part is stolen, for example the outboard, theft of parts under full hull cover applies. There is no time restriction and no night clause here.
Where the boat happens to be lying changes little about the cover: winter storage, craning, launching and the transport route are included, and the boat trailer is covered by the third-party liability at no extra premium from Basis-Plus, provided it is named in the application with its value. You can add it to the hull cover for a premium. What does affect the premium is the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine output and the agreed cruising range.
