Turun Teräskaluste is a Finnish yard whose name points to Turku on the south-west coast. The Aquarius 40 was not drawn in-house. It goes back to Sparkman & Stephens and their Design 1767, which several yards had built before, most of them in wood. Turun Teräskaluste took over the moulds for the glassfibre version from another Finnish yard, Teksoglass, and carried the boat on as the Aquarius 40. She is easy to recognise by the classic S&S profile: masthead sloop rig, fin keel and a slim hull of just over three metres in beam.
