Two model ranges are recorded, the sailing boat Fast Wave 30 and the sailing yacht Leight Wave 37, both in production since 2018. For the premium the sail area counts in both cases, along with type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range. Engine power does not enter into it here.
The brand itself never affects the premium, and neither does the number of units built. Small series and home-built boats can be insured, and we insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. In full hull cover the value is arranged as an agreed value and replaced with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old").
Club races are included from the Basis-Plus level upwards; declare races with scoring status when taking out the policy. Third-party liability is available with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, graded across the tariff levels Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium.

Both are calculated via the sail area, along with value, year of construction, type of boat and cruising range. Differences arise from these details, not from the name of the range.

Fast Wave 30 is a sailing boat from Ventura DM, built since 2018.
Leight Wave 37 is a sailing yacht from Ventura DM, built since 2018.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides. A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
