The Veno 108 sailing yacht was built between 1975 and 1991 and is the only range recorded. For sailing yachts the sail area takes the place of engine power when the premium is calculated, and type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range are added.
Over the winter the yacht usually stands ashore. Cover applies in winter storage, during craning, during launching and while in transit. Damage in winter storage is already part of limited hull cover, together with fire, storm, lightning strike and theft of the entire boat.
For years of construction up to 1991 the agreed value counts. It is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), and in the Premium tariff full hull cover applies with no age limit. Club races are included from Basis-Plus, races with ranking status you declare when taking out the policy.

Is the yacht insured while in storage?
Yes. Damage in winter storage is already covered by limited hull cover, and during craning, launching and while in transit cover continues, with no time window or night clause.
What counts on a sailing yacht instead of engine power?
The sail area. Together with type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range, it produces the premium. The brand has no effect on the calculation.
