Worth knowing
Walkabout; cover, cost and conditions
The sailing yacht Walkabout 43 was built between 2007 and 2013, and no further model ranges are available. With sailing yachts the sail area feeds into the premium, together with type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range. Engine power is not the decisive factor for the calculation.
For longer voyages the cruising range is the decisive point in the contract. It determines where the cover applies and at the same time feeds into the premium. We issue the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages, so that you can present it in foreign harbours.
Club races are included from Basis-Plus onwards, and races with scoring status are stated when the policy is taken out. Full hull cover pays compensation according to the agreed value and with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff without an age limit, and also covers collision and grounding.

For the Walkabout 43 by Walkabout series the market value and the replacement cost often differ
widely.
An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
For the Walkabout 43 by Walkabout series:
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts:
a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat,
and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
