Worth knowing
YWRC; cover, cost and conditions
The sailing yacht Inspiration 1200 was built from 1986 to 1999 and is the only range available to us. The purchase today goes through the second-hand market, and there a dispute about warranted characteristics occasionally arises. Legal expenses cover for water sports can be included and is designed for such cases.
It applies in a dispute after buying a used boat as well as in disputes with a yard. For the yacht itself we set an agreed value and pay with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards.
We have no further details about the yard. For the contract the details of the yacht are enough: type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range determine the premium. You receive the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages.

Series by YWRC, build years and cover
Inspiration 1200 is a sailing yacht from YWRC, built from 1986 to 1999.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
