Motorboats of the Thor range have been built continuously since 2018, and the Thor 425 T model was added in 2023. For the journey between the berth and winter storage a trailer may be involved. At NAMMERT the boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium.
During launching, during craning and on the transport route the cover remains in place, and so it does in winter storage. Limited hull cover includes fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the whole boat and damage in winter storage. Full hull cover adds collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard.
On motorboats the premium follows the type of boat, the value, the year of construction, the engine power and the cruising range, never the brand. Four current model ranges do not mean a surcharge. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you take out the policy online, above that an individual assessment follows.

Frequent questions
Does the cover also apply during the trailer journey?
Yes. The cover applies on the transport route, during launching and during craning as well as in winter storage. The trailer itself is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium.
Is a stolen outboard included in the cover?
Theft of parts including the outboard belongs to full hull cover. The theft of the whole boat, by contrast, is already covered by limited hull cover.

Registration

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
