Cantiere Navale De Cesari; cover, cost and conditions
Cantiere Navale De Cesari is a wooden boat yard in Cervia on Italy's Adriatic coast. The company says it was founded more than fifty years ago by Adriano De Cesari and is now run by his son Paolo. It builds sail and motor boats in plywood, laminated mahogany and okoumé or cedar strip, along with one-offs and restorations.
Its best known recent boats are the Day Sailer 950 at 9.50 metres and the De Cesari 33, first launched in 2020. For a hand-built wooden yacht the agreed value is the central question: a survey that documents construction and condition makes it far easier to settle a claim on a fair basis.
