Worth knowing
Hajo; cover, cost and conditions
Hajo lists eight motorboats with build years from 2006 and lengths of 3.8 to 5.7 m. The range revolves around the K Maxxi family with its Extra, Joker, Joker Cabin, Party and XXL versions. The K1 Fisherman as a fishing boat and the K2 Party complete the line up.
Boats under six metres are trailered, kept afloat and stored ashore over winter, so the policy should capture all three situations. Liability cover is the basis, because damage to other boats and to jetties can exceed the value of your own boat. The outboard is listed separately in the contract, as is a trailer if it is to be included.
NAMMERT insures Hajo regardless of build year and place of purchase. The premium is ready in the online calculator in five minutes, and model, length and engine power are enough.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Is the cabin version rated differently from the open boat?
The superstructure alone barely changes the rating. On the K Maxxi Joker Cabin what matters is the fixed equipment on board and where the boat is kept.
Can I cover boat and trailer in one policy?
The trailer can be included. With Hajo models from 3.8 to 5.7 m that is worthwhile, because they are regularly moved on the road.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
