Hammond refers to the Hammond Boat Company, the second boat business of Bob Hammond. He had earlier founded Glastron, one of the first American firms to build fibreglass pleasure boats in series. After leaving Glastron he set up Hammond Boat Company to build a modest number of boats to a high standard. The boats in our data are small motorboats between just over five and six and a half metres. Their type names give them away: a code such as V, CV, EV or SV followed by four digits, the first two of which roughly match the length in feet. Some models also carry Spanish city names: Cordoba, Seville and Granada.

Our records hold ten entries, one of them listed twice (the Seville V 1975), which leaves nine distinct models, all motorboats. Three measure 5.2 metres (Cordoba V 1725, Granada V 1750 and Hammond CV 1725), four measure 5.9 metres (EV 1925, SV 1975, V 1975 and Seville V 1975), the V 1950 measures 6 metres and the CV 2150 is the longest at 6.5 metres.
