Small production runs are expressly insurable with us, and Marstrom is a good example: on record is the Extreme 40, an open catamaran built from 2002 to 2014. Boats like this change owner on the used market today; what then counts for the policy is the value, the year of construction, the sail area and the cruising range, not the number of units built in the series.
A Marstrom Tornado is already sailing in our own portfolio. For an open catamaran such as the Extreme 40, third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros remains the basis; club races are included from the Basis-Plus tariff level onwards. You state races with scoring status when you take out the policy.
For hull insurance we agree an agreed value: the value is stated in the policy and, in the event of a total loss, is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. Precisely with a boat whose production has ended, this makes clear which sum has actually been agreed should the worst happen.

For the Extreme 40 by Marstrom series the market value and the replacement cost often differ
widely.
