Neumáticas de Vigo, better known as Neuvisa, builds rigid inflatable boats on the A Borna industrial estate in Moaña, Pontevedra, across the water from Vigo in Galicia. The company runs two brands: Neuvisa for leisure boating and Tarpon for professional use. Every boat carries the Neuvisa name followed by a line code and a number giving the length in decimetres, so an AD 50 is 5 metres and an FL 115 is 11.5 metres. AD, DV, FL, HL, PL, RR and TD denote the RIB lines, while the Freeway and Tender CR models are filed as inflatables.

Our model records list 31 Neuvisa models: 24 RIBs and seven inflatables. Build years run from 2003 to 2019, and none is in current production. Lengths range from 2.5 to 11.5 metres, with half between 3.5 and 6 metres. At the small end sit the TD models from 2.5 to 3.5 metres and the Tender CR 25 to 35. The PL and AD lines cover the middle ground from 3.5 to 6 metres, and the HL line runs from 5.5 to 7.5 metres. Larger still are the DV 62, 70 and 75 between 6.4 and 7.5 metres and the FL line with the 75, 90 and 115, the last at 11.5 metres.

RIBs of this kind get used hard: fast day trips along the coast, dive support, fishing and tender duty. What holds value is the tube material and its condition, the joint between hull and tubes, and above all the engine. Hours and maintenance records matter more than the build year.
