Offshore Costruzioni Nautiche comes from Gaeta on the coast of Lazio in Italy. The yard made its name with the Super Classic, a line of motorboats that designer Roberto Buonomo drew as a modern tribute to the classic Italian mahogany runabouts. The look is deliberately old school, yet the hull underneath comes from offshore racing: a deep V with three steps. The Super Classic 40 appeared around the turn of the millennium and was raced offshore as well as cruised. The combination of mahogany styling and a racing hull, hinted at in the company name itself, is what sets these boats apart on the water.
