Worth knowing
Prins; cover, cost and conditions
An agreed value means that the value of your boat is fixed bindingly when the policy is taken out. In the event of a claim there is no dispute about the current market value and no deduction for depreciation. That applies to a Prins from current production just as much as to a 720 GT, which was built until 2020.
The range of motor and sports boats extends from the 475 Open to the 625 Sundeck, and many model ranges have been produced since 2011 and 2012 respectively and continue today. A Prins 475 Open is already running in our own portfolio. For the premium, type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range count, not the brand name.
Full hull cover with an agreed value is joined by theft of parts including the outboard, vandalism, collision and grounding.

As the Prins 475 Open, Prins 480 Open,
Prins 500 Open by Prins and 5 more series are still in production,
parts are available and repair costs are predictable.
Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
For the 4 Family 495 Deluxe, Prins 720 GT,
Prins 555 Sundeck by Prins and 12 more series the market value and the replacement cost often
differ widely.
An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
For the Prins 475 Open, Prins 480 Open, Prins 500 Open by Prins and further series:
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part.
Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
For the Rapsody 29 OC-F, Rapsody 29 OC, Rapsody 40 Offshore by Prins and further series:
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value.
Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
