Three Finnark model ranges were built between 1970 and 1980, among them a sailing boat, a sailing yacht and a motorboat. Anyone taking one of them over today is buying second or third hand. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners.
The value is recorded by the agreed value under full hull cover. It is agreed when the policy is taken out and is paid in the event of a total loss with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. This does away with any dispute about the replacement value of a boat from the nineteen-seventies.
In addition there is legal expenses cover for water sports, for example in a dispute after buying a used boat or with a shipyard. The premium is based on the type of boat, the value, the year of construction, the engine power or sail area and the cruising range. We cancel the old contract free of charge through the switching service.
