The focus is clearly on compact boats that a trailer can take to any lake or coast. The models are easy to spot by their series names: FM, OP, GZ and SC as abbreviations, plus Futurama and Seabird. Most names also give away the size. On a Futurama the number is the length in centimetres, so the Futurama 450 is 4.5 metres long. On FM, OP and SC boats it is roughly the length in feet: the FM 15 measures 4.6 metres and the SC 34 10.5 metres. Only the Seabird numbers say nothing about length.

Lengths range from 2.35 metres (Seabird 50) to 10.5 metres (SC 34): twelve models stay under five metres, seven sit between five and seven, and four are longer.

Most Rimpex boats are small enough to live on a trailer in the driveway and go to the water when the weather is right. That keeps the hull out of the water for most of the year, but trailer bearings, lights and winch strap need the same attention as the boat. With the newest build years at 2013, many of these boats have a long working life behind them, so a careful look at the transom, steering cables and fuel lines before each season is time well spent.

For Rimpex s.r.l.: On a Futurama they give the length in centimetres,

so the Futurama 600 is 6 metres long.

On FM, OP and SC boats the number is roughly the length in feet, for example the 6.95 metre FM 23.

The Seabird numbers say nothing about length.
