Rocad Båtar AB is a Swedish name for small motorboats. We found no reliable record of when or where the yard started, so this page sticks to what our model records show: compact powerboats between four and a half and just over seven metres, made for day trips, fishing and short runs along the shore. The model names are easy to read, because the three digit number is the length in centimetres. A Rocad 706 measures 7.06 metres, a Rival 464 4.64 metres, and letters such as SP, SD, SDC or WAC separate the versions built on the same hull length.

Our records hold 11 models, all of them motorboats. Three are older Rival boats, the 464, the 560 and the 560 HT Walkaround, built from 1991 to 1999. The other eight carry the Rocad name: the 606 WAC opens the list in 2002, followed by the 606 SP, 560 SP, 706 SP and 706 WAC from 2003, the 560 SD and 706 SDC from 2011 and the 498 from 2014. Boats of this size spend much of their life on a trailer, so a sound winch strap, working lights and a hull support that fits the keel matter as much as the engine. After a season, rinsing the outboard with fresh water and storing the boat dry and ventilated keeps the older Rival hulls from the 1990s in good shape.
