Tuccoli comes from Livorno. After the war Ivano Tuccoli, a shipwright, began building wooden boats in a basement overlooking the city's canals. In the 1970s his son Marco took over, renamed the business Cantiere Navale Tuccoli and moved it into glassfibre; later the yard relocated to Collesalvetti, just outside Livorno. In 2017 the Bergamo entrepreneur Paolo Sanguettola acquired it as Tuccoli Marine. Alongside pleasure boats the yard turns out pilot, patrol and military craft, handles most of its production in house and owns its own mould maker. The fishing heritage is plain to see: a bow that sits high relative to the stern, a cockpit laid out for rods and a helm under a half hard top. The yard calls the concept a Sport Activity Vessel.

On the inboard models, shaft seals, cutless bearings and engine mounts deserve attention, especially with the larger twin installations on the T440. Salt water and bait mean that stainless fittings and the wiring behind panels should be inspected for corrosion. Electronics such as sounders and plotters are often added by owners, so check what is fitted and how neatly it was installed.
