Tuccoli is an Italian yard whose story spans three generations. The grandfather built wooden fishing boats in the 1950s, and in the seventies the father moved to glassfibre, building fishing boats and planing hulls. After the original yard had stopped its own production, the entrepreneur Paolo Sanguettola took over the staff, premises and moulds in 2017 and reorganised the business as Tuccoli Marine. The boats keep the look of the traditional Italian fishing boat, adapted to modern motorboats. Since 2018 the models have come in two versions: VM for fishing offshore and SF for owners who mix fishing with cruising. The VM version of the T250 was developed together with the sport angler Marco Volpi.
Our model records list two designs, both motorboats and both shown from build year 2018. The Tuccoli T210 measures 6.88 metres and the Tuccoli T250 reaches 7.77 metres. Both lines run into the most recent build years, which matches the range the new Tuccoli Marine has offered since 2018. At between seven and eight metres, these are boats made for a day at sea from a home berth.
A fishing boat works harder than most pleasure craft, so a used one shows its life quickly. Look at the deck and cockpit around rod holders, cleats and the bait well, where screws can let water into the deck core. Fish blood, salt and hooks are hard on gelcoat and upholstery; regular freshwater rinsing helps. Echo sounder, plotter and radio need sound wiring and dry connections. The engine should come with its service history, and after each trip in salt water a flush with fresh water keeps the cooling system clean. On the SF version, check the cabin and its seals as well.
