V.R. is an Italian yard from Bergamo, founded in 1980 by the sailing couple Renato and Valeria Frigerio. It builds sailing yachts for owners who want to sail long distances in open water. The Oceano 54 was presented in 1996 and drawn by Studio Vallicelli. The hull is a sandwich laminate with vinylester resin and the deck is balsa-cored. The yacht stands out for her two cockpits: a forward one with the helm for the crew and an aft one for guests, with a folding table and an integrated bimini. The rig is a masthead sloop with a cutter option and three sets of spreaders.
