Four ranges have been running since 2018 and to this day: Harbor 20, Harbor 25 and Lido 14 as sailing boats as well as the sailing yacht Schock 40. A current programme is thus available. Cover is based on the type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range, never on the brand.
New boats, too, stand ashore over the winter. The cover applies in winter storage, during craning and launching as well as while in transit. The limited hull cover names damage in winter storage expressly, so that no gap arises in the policy between two seasons.
Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards, and races with ranking status you report when taking out the policy. In the full hull cover an agreed value secures the value, and compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). The basis remains third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros.

Frequent questions
Is a brand-new boat protected in its first winter?
Yes. Winter storage, craning, launching and transit are part of the cover. The limited hull cover covers damage in winter storage, and the full hull cover additionally vandalism and theft of parts.
How quickly can a new boat be covered?
Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you take out the policy online. If the value is above that, an individual assessment follows. On request we cancel the previous policy free of charge.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides. A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
