Dr. Segger-Boote is a Hamburg business that mainly sells building plans, promoting modern self-build from simple patterns. Its range covers single and double handed dinghies, trailer sailers, catamarans, cutters, canoes, tenders, workboats and motorboats. Many boats of this make were therefore built by their owners rather than in a yard, typically in plywood using stitch and glue with epoxy. The animal names give them away: Libelle, Kranich, Pelikan, Reiher, Sprotte, Leguan or Hornisse.
