Sail and motor stand side by side: since 2019 five model ranges have been in production, the 36 Day Sailer, the 38 Racer, a Cutter, the sailing boat K850 and the Power 39H as a motorboat. Enavigo Ltd. thus lists both types of construction in one catalogue. They are insured under the same roof, only with different premium characteristics.
With the sailing boat the sail area counts, with the Power 39H the engine power. Added to that are the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range. Anyone taking part in club races with a model such as the 38 Racer is included from Basis-Plus; races with ranking status you state when taking out the policy.
If the trip leads abroad, you receive the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you can take out cover online.

Are night passages excluded from hull insurance cover?

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides. A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
