Worth knowing
Euroboat; cover, cost and conditions
Anyone sailing abroad with a sailing yacht needs proof that ports and authorities can read. You receive the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages. This applies to the Seychelles 46, built between 1978 and 1984, just as it does to every other yacht in the portfolio.
Nothing beyond this one model range is recorded for the shipyard. This has no effect on acceptance, because we insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. The premium follows from type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range; the brand is left out of account.
For a yacht with years of construction in the late seventies the agreed value is the core of the hull cover: compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"), in the Premium tariff without an age limit. Collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts are included.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
In which languages is the proof available?
We issue the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages. You can present it abroad without having to supply a translation afterwards.
Is switching from another provider a lot of work?
No. Through the switching service we cancel the previous policy free of charge. You provide the yacht's details, and we take care of deadlines and correspondence.

Series by Euroboat, build years and cover
Seychelles 46 is a sailing yacht from Euroboat, built from 1978 to 1984.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
