Worth knowing
Longshore International, Inc; cover, cost and conditions
Anyone who changes provider does not have to cancel the old contract themselves, we take that over free of charge. Two model ranges from Longshore International, Inc are recorded, the Longshore 16 from the years 1987 to 1993 and the Longshore 19 from the years 1997 to 2003. Both can be covered without regard to the year of build.
Further details on the yard are not available to us, production lies in the past. For sailing yachts of these vintages we agree an agreed value, in the Premium tariff with no age limit. Indemnity is then paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), regardless of place of purchase and previous owners.
The premium depends on type of boat, value, year of build, sail area and cruising range. Club races are included from Basis-Plus, races with scoring status you declare when taking out the policy. The cover applies all year round, also in winter storage, during craning and launching.

Series by Longshore International, Inc, build years and cover
Longshore 19 is a sailing yacht from Longshore International, Inc, built from 1997 to 2003.
Longshore 16 is a sailing yacht from Longshore International, Inc, built from 1987 to 1993.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
