Luffe Yachts ApS builds sailing yachts, and the ApS in its name is a Danish company form. The range consists entirely of sailing yachts between 10 and a little over 16 metres. Most model names pair Luffe with a number that, on the classic designs, sits close to the length in feet: the Luffe 37 is 11.18 metres long, the Luffe 48 14.75 metres. Newer lines add a suffix with a dot such as 37.09, 40.04 or 40.20, and the 43 also comes as the DS and the MK II. Two early entries carry other names, the Concord 38 and the Freya 39.

Our model records list 18 Luffe designs, all sailing yachts. Sixteen carry the Luffe name, joined by the Concord 38 and Freya 39, both built from 1977 to 1985. The Luffe 37 also starts in 1977 and is recorded right up to the latest build years. Eight lines reach current production: the Luffe 3.6, 37, 37.09, 40.20, 43 DS, 43 MK II, 45 and 48. Lengths run from the 10 metre Luffe 33 to the 16.38 metre Luffe 54, with six models between 10 and 12 metres, eight between 12 and 13.4 metres and four above that.

A Luffe is lifted in and out by crane rather than towed, so the yearly rhythm runs from a marina berth in summer to a yard ashore in winter. Older hulls from the late seventies and eighties deserve a close look at keel bolts, rigging and deck fittings before each season. On the newer boats, sails, electronics and deck hardware make up a good share of the value, and keeping a list of what is aboard pays off when parts are serviced or replaced.
