Marggraff; cover, cost and conditions
In our records Marggraff is the name behind the Lisoletta range, a family of sailing yachts and one smaller sailboat from the 1980s and early 1990s. We have no verified details on where the yard was based or how it began, so this page follows the model data. Every model is called Lisoletta plus a number that gives the length in centimetres: the Lisoletta 910 is 9.1 metres long, the 1250 is 12.5 metres. The Lisoletta name also turns up in our records under Maurus-Werft, with the 815 and 840 from 1976 to 1985; the data does not show how the two ranges relate.
Our records list nine Marggraff Lisolettas, eight sailing yachts and one sailboat, the Lisoletta 670. Build years run from 1984 to 1995. The 760, 910 and 1050 open the list in 1984, and the 940 and 1250 were the last newcomers in 1987. Lengths run from 6.7 metres for the 670 to 12.5 metres for the 1250: two models under eight metres, five between 9.1 and 10.75 metres and two above twelve metres.
A Lisoletta today is at least thirty years old, so the condition of deck fittings, chainplates and the engine counts for more than the year on the papers. The 670 and 760 are small enough to tow and launch from a slipway, which suits lakes and sheltered coasts. The yachts above twelve metres are berth boats, built for coastal passages and long weekends aboard, and they benefit from a winter ashore with the mast down.
