The Odin boats are the work of Volker and Gerda Lamprecht, who designed them. According to the source, the Odin 820 was built in Poland by Yachten Polska from 2000. The idea is a cross between sailing boat and motorboat: a trailerable hull with a fractional sloop rig, paired with a large outboard of up to 70 horsepower that lets the boat plane. Lead and water ballast keep her upright under sail, and the water can be drained for towing or for running fast under power. Two rudders either side of a central outboard well give her away. In some markets the 820 was sold as the Odin Light or the Imexus 27.
