The premium results from the type of boat, the value, the year of construction, the sail area and the cruising range, never from the brand. Full hull cover works with an agreed value and pays out with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit for the boat. Collision, grounding and vandalism are included.
The basis remains third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards, and races with ranking status should be stated when taking out the policy. The international certificate of insurance comes in ten languages.

From what sum is an individual assessment necessary?
Above a sum insured of 2.5 million euros. Up to this value the policy is taken out online, above it we prepare the quotation after an assessment of the individual case.
What applies to a newly built sailing yacht?
The same full hull cover with an agreed value and no deduction for depreciation (new for old) applies to new and to older yachts alike. Include electronics and equipment in the schedule of the boat value.

Pure 42 is a sailing yacht from Pure Yachts, built since 2022.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
