Two sailing boat model ranges are recorded, Foxer and Red Fox 200, with years of construction between 1989 and 2005. Anyone taking over such a boat who is already insured elsewhere does not have to deal with the cancellation themselves: we cancel the previous policy free of charge.
After that the premium results from the type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range. The brand is of no significance in this, including with years of construction in the past. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you take out the policy online; above that an individual assessment follows.
Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros is the basis, and the full hull cover calculates with an agreed value and with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards, and races with ranking status you report when taking out the policy.

Do you take over the cancellation with the previous insurer?
Yes, the switching service is part of it. We cancel the previous policy free of charge, so that you only have to deal with taking out the new one.
Does the sail area count with a sailing boat?
Yes, it takes the place of the engine power. Type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range are added to it. The name of the yard plays no part in the premium.
