Worth knowing
Stagnum Yachts; cover, cost and conditions
A single model range is no obstacle, because small series and home builds can be insured with us. For Stagnum Yachts exactly one range is recorded, the motor boat Stagnum Runabout 1300, built from 2018 and up to the present day. The premium is based on the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range.
Because production is still running, such a boat can come new or second hand. Both are possible, because we insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. The switching service cancels an existing previous policy free of charge.
Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros carries the policy, and full hull cover runs on an agreed value with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). A boat trailer is included at no extra premium, as is the cover during launching and in winter storage.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Can boats from very small series be insured?
Yes. Small series and home builds can be insured. What counts for the premium is the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range, not the extent of the construction programme.
Can I switch in the middle of the year?
The switching service cancels your previous policy free of charge. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy is taken out online, above that an individual review follows.

Series by Stagnum Yachts, build years and cover
Stagnum Runabout 1300 is a motorboat from Stagnum Yachts, built since 2018.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
