Two motor boats are recorded, the Victory 515 from 2017 to 2022 and the A6 Cabin from 2019 to 2023. For both of them the engine output counts for the premium, along with type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range. The name of the yard does not enter into the calculation at any point.
Young boats are insured with an agreed value just as older ones are. The full hull cover pays compensation with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"), in the Premium tariff without any age limit, and covers collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard.
The boat trailer is included at no extra premium, and the cover applies during launching, during craning, in winter storage and on the transport route. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you take out the policy online, and above that an individual review follows.
