Victory Boats is an Estonian yard that builds its boats entirely in aluminium. The range runs from the A450, a 4.5 metre centre console, through open bowriders and cabin boats up to the W series fishing and work boats at seven and ten metres. They are built for coastal water, rivers and canals, for anglers, for family trips and in some cases for professional use. What they share is a welded aluminium hull set up for an outboard. You tend to recognise a Victory by its angular metal shape, generous freeboard and a superstructure that owes more to a work boat than to a sports boat.
Our model records list two designs, both motorboats. The Victory 515 measures 5.2 metres, belongs to the yard's Combo series and is listed from 2017 to 2022. The Victory A6 Cabin is the larger boat at 6.3 metres and runs in our records from 2019 to 2023. She has a trawler style cabin, room for up to six people, a draught of 0.4 metres and a 170 litre fuel tank, with an outboard of up to 150 horsepower on the transom. She is rated CE category C for inshore waters. Neither design reaches the most recent build years, but both are still young boats.
Aluminium is forgiving on rocks and slipways, yet it has its own weak spot: galvanic corrosion. When looking at a used Victory, check the anodes on the outboard and the hull, look for white powdery spots around stainless fittings, and ask whether any electronics were wired straight to the hull. Welds along the keel and at the transom are worth a careful look, since that is where the loads gather. Fishing boats tend to collect extra holes for rod holders, transducers and trolling motors, so every through fitting should be sealed. A good service record for the outboard matters as much as the hull itself.
