Two model ranges are recorded, the Twister 36 with years of construction from 2004 to 2013 and the Twister 987 from 2006 to 2012. Both ranges have been discontinued, the yachts are on the used market. For them an agreed value is set when the policy is taken out.
This agreed value determines which amount applies in a total loss, and compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). In the Premium tariff the age limit does not apply. Collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard are covered in the full hull cover.
With a sailing yacht the sail area feeds into the calculation, not the engine power, along with type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range. Club races are included from Basis-Plus; for races with ranking status a statement when taking out the policy is sufficient.
