Worth knowing
Marina-Werft; cover, cost and conditions
Five sailing boat ranges are recorded, among them Carina 20 from 1964 to 1986, Marina 23 from 1965 to 1985 as well as Sabrina, Raina and Marina R. Over a good two decades a continuous programme thus came into being, whose boats are traded second-hand today and insured with an agreed value.
With a sailing boat the sail area takes the place of engine power when the premium is determined. Added to this are the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range. Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards, and races with scoring status are to be declared when the policy is taken out.
A year of construction from the sixties or seventies is no ground for exclusion. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, and in the Premium tariff full hull cover applies with no age limit and with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"). A boat trailer is covered by the third-party liability at no extra premium from Basis-Plus, provided it is named in the application with its value. You can add it to the hull cover for a premium.

On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides.
A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.

On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts:
a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat,
