Worth knowing
Jawa-Yacht; cover, cost and conditions
Two sailing yacht ranges are recorded for Jawa-Yacht, the Bora 335 with build years from 2014 to 2022 and the Bora 838 from 2001 to 2021. Both ranges have been discontinued, and the yachts change owner second hand today. We insure them regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners.
Full hull cover includes theft of parts including the outboard, together with collision, grounding and vandalism. Especially on yachts lying at public jetties, damage often affects only parts of the equipment. Precisely these cases are covered by the contract.
On a Bora the sail area takes the place of the engine output when we determine the premium. Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards, and races with a scoring status are declared when the contract is taken out. In this way sporting use also belongs to the agreed cover.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Is stolen equipment covered?
Theft of parts including the outboard belongs to full hull cover. The condition is that the parts concerned are included in the sum insured and therefore in the agreed value.
How do I declare participation in races?
Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards. Races with a scoring status are declared when the contract is taken out, so that this use is expressly covered by the contract.

Series by Jawa-Yacht, build years and cover
Bora 335 is a sailing yacht from Jawa-Yacht, built from 2014 to 2022.
Bora 838 is a sailing yacht from Jawa-Yacht, built from 2001 to 2021.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
